Commemorative NFT

Who can claim the ENSv2 commemorative NFT, and fixes for common snags. Full story on the ENS blog.

To celebrate ENSv2, eligible ENS holders can claim a commemorative NFT: a generative art card shaped by their ENS history. Your card is revealed in the ENS App once you've upgraded your names, and minting it is optional. For the artist, the traits and how to read your card, see the blog post An ENSv2 collectible with your name on it.

Who can claim one

  • Eligibility comes from a snapshot taken on 1 June 2026, and it's tied to a wallet address: the wallet that held the name that day.

  • Only names in active registration on that day count. A name in its grace period on 1 June didn't count.

  • Each eligible address gets one NFT, even if it holds several names.

  • To get your card, first upgrade all your active ENSv1 names that were eligible. Expired and grace-period names don't hold it up.

  • The name on your card is your primary name. If your address has no primary name, it's the name you've held longest.

  • Minting is optional, and you can do it now or later. It's its own transaction, so you need a little ETH for network fees (gas).

  • If your wallet isn't eligible, the ENS App shows no NFT notice. Your upgrade works the same.

Common questions

Which names do I need to upgrade to get my NFT?

If your wallet is eligible, you only need to upgrade your active ENSv1 names. You don't need to upgrade an ENSv1 name that's in its grace period.

Upgrading is optional, there's no deadline, and you can manage ENSv1 names in ENS Explorer.

I moved my name to another wallet after 1 June. Can I still get one?

Yes. Eligibility stays with the wallet that held the name on 1 June. Transfer the name back to that wallet, upgrade it there, then claim.

My name has expired. Can I still get one?

Yes, if your wallet was eligible. Get an ENSv1 .eth name into that same wallet, upgrade it, then claim.

Will my card change if I claim it later?

No. It's made from the snapshot, so claiming later or refreshing the page doesn't change it.

Where do I find my NFT if I haven't minted it?

Open your dashboard in the ENS App and scroll down, below the Name section. Your NFT appears there, and you can finish minting it. Once minted, it shows in the same place.

Someone sent me a link to claim my NFT. Is it real?

If an email or message asks you to upgrade your name or claim an NFT, don't use its link: check your name on app.ens.domains.
