Where do I report a security issue?
ENS runs a public bug bounty. Start at docs.ens.domains/bugs, which sets out the bounty tiers and links to the reporting programme. For the full process, see Report a security vulnerability to ENS.
A site isn't on this list. Is it a scam?
Not necessarily — the community builds their own ENS tools too, and some are well known. This page lists the main sites the core ENS team runs. For any other site, check who made it, and be careful about connecting a wallet or signing anything you don't understand.
Do my .eth names give me voting power?
No. Governance runs on the $ENS token, an ERC-20 that is separate from .eth names. Holding names does not give you voting power, and holding $ENS does not give you a name. If you hold $ENS and would rather not vote yourself, you can delegate to someone active in governance. See Delegate your $ENS voting power.
Which app should I use?
Use app.ens.domains, the everyday mode, to register, renew, upgrade and manage a name. Use explorer.ens.domains, the advanced mode, to inspect a name in detail, transfer it, and manage its roles, subnames and resolver. To edit the records of a name you haven't upgraded, use ENS Explorer. They are separate sites, and both run on Ethereum.
