Clear Browser Cache for the ENS App

How to clear cache and local storage for app.ens.domains to resolve loading errors and display issues.

Good to Know

  • Clearing cache removes your search history and chat logs, and disconnects your wallet from the ENS App

  • Your ENS names and records are not affected β€” this only clears local browser data

  • Clear cache when troubleshooting suggests it, or if you're seeing persistent errors


Desktop Browsers

All desktop browsers follow a similar process to clear cache and local storage.

Chrome, Brave, Edge

  1. Go to app.ens.domains

  2. Press F12 (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + Option + I (Mac) to open Developer Tools

  3. Right-click the refresh button and select Empty Cache and Hard Reload

To also clear local storage:

  1. In Developer Tools, click the Application tab

  2. Expand Storage β†’ Local Storage

  3. Right-click app.ens.domains and select Clear

  4. Refresh the page

Firefox

  1. Go to app.ens.domains

  2. Press F12 to open Developer Tools

  3. Click the Network tab and check Disable Cache

  4. Refresh the page

To also clear local storage:

  1. Click the Storage tab

  2. Expand Local Storage and select app.ens.domains

  3. Right-click and choose Delete All

  4. Refresh the page

Safari

  1. Go to Safari β†’ Settings β†’ Privacy

  2. Click Manage Website Data

  3. Search for app.ens.domains and click Remove

  4. Refresh the page


Mobile Browsers

Most mobile browsers use the same method:

  1. Go to app.ens.domains

  2. Tap the lock icon πŸ”’ in the address bar

  3. Tap Site settings β†’ Clear & reset (or Clear cookies & site data on Firefox)

  4. Refresh the page

Safari (iPhone & iPad)

  1. Open Settings β†’ Safari

  2. Tap Advanced β†’ Website Data

  3. Find app.ens.domains, swipe left, and tap Delete

  4. Return to Safari and refresh the page


Still having issues?

  • Try Incognito/Private mode β€” this bypasses all cached data

  • Restart your browser after clearing data

  • Quick shortcut: Ctrl + Shift + Delete (Windows) or Cmd + Shift + Delete (Mac) opens cache settings in most browsers
