While ENS does not support direct registration of new DNS domains (such as .com, .org, or others), it does provide integration options for existing DNS domains. If you already own a DNS domain, you can use that as your ENS name. This involves linking the DNS domain to the ENS protocol, allowing you to leverage ENS functionalities for a DNS name you registered elsewhere. So, while new DNS domains cannot be acquired via ENS, existing ones can be incorporated into the ENS ecosystem to much the same effect.
