How to check the Owner of an ENS Name
Overview of ENS Ownership
ENS (Ethereum Name Service) ownership details are inherently tied to the transparency of the Ethereum blockchain. When someone registers an ENS name, the only information publicly available is what exists on the blockchain and is associated with the registering wallet address. No personal information is collected beyond this public blockchain data. Therefore, there is no way to directly identify the private owner of an ENS name outside the context of their wallet address.
Accessing Ownership Details Through the ENS App
To find out which Ethereum address currently owns an ENS name, follow these steps using the ENS app:
Open the ENS app and search for the specific ENS name.
Navigate to the Ownership tab available for the selected name.
Here, you can see the current owner's wallet address as recorded on the blockchain.
