How do I set my avatar or banner?

Set your avatar or banner on the General tab in the ENS App, then publish your changes.

You set your avatar and banner on the General tab of the profile editor in the ENS App.

  1. Open a name you own and select Edit Profile. A name you haven't upgraded to ENSv2 can't be edited in the ENS App.

  2. On the General tab, select Add a profile picture for your avatar, or Add a banner image for your banner.

  3. For your avatar, select Upload image to pick a JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP, AVIF, BMP or ICO file under 3MB, or Enter manually to paste a link to an image.

  4. If you upload a file, sign the message in your wallet. It proves the upload is yours and costs no gas.

  5. Select Preview, then Publish changes, and approve in your wallet.

Saving is a transaction, so you need a little ETH for network fees (gas).
