Nothing renews a .eth name for you, and names bought at different times expire at different times. Open My Names on app.ens.domains to see every date in one place, then extend the ones closest to expiry.

My Names lists every name where you are the Owner or Manager, with its expiry date.
Names held in a different wallet of yours won't appear there. Search that wallet's address in the ENS App to see its names too.
Anyone can renew any
.ethname, and renewing never changes who owns it.You need ETH on Ethereum Mainnet for the renewal fees and gas.
Give yourself fewer dates to watch
Two habits cut the risk more than anything else.
Sync your names to one expiry date. Extend each name on its own to the date you want, then extend them together from then on. One date to remember instead of ten.S ee Extend (renew) a .eth name for the steps.
Extend for several years at once, and do several names together. You pay the same per year either way, one transaction covers the whole batch, and you go years between decisions instead of months. See Extend several .eth names at once.
If you miss a date
An expired name is not lost straight away. For 90 days afterwards it can still be extended at the normal price, and nobody else can register it.
After those 90 days the name goes to anyone, priced with a temporary premium that falls over 21 days. If someone registers it, it is theirs. See .eth name lifecycle.
Common questions
Will ENS remind me before a name expires?
Checking the date is yours to do. Treat any message telling you to renew through a link as a scam, however urgent it sounds — see Avoid common ENS scams.
Can someone take my name the moment it expires?
No. Nobody else can register it during the 90-day grace period. Once the grace period ends, the name stops being yours.
Is there any downside to extending early?
No. Extending adds time to the existing expiry rather than replacing it, so nothing is wasted.
