Register a .eth name

How to search for, choose, and register a .eth name using the ENSv2 app — including pricing, payment in stablecoins, and gas.

Register a .eth name in the ENS App at sepolia.app.ens.domains.

Before you start

Steps

  1. Search for the name. Type it into the search bar on the home page. If it's available, the registration page opens. Just expired? See Expiry & grace period and Price Cooldown.

  2. Choose how long. Pick a card: Starter (1 year), Committed (3 years) or Long-term identity (6 years). Or open Register to date and pick an expiry date, at least 28 days ahead. The summary shows the total.

  3. Pay. Select Pay with stablecoins. If the app asks, turn on Smart Sessions. In the payment window, check that USDC shows under Select payment, choose whether to turn on Set as primary name, then select Approve and register. Approve in your wallet when asked. With Set as primary name on, your wallet asks you to confirm one more transaction after registering, and apps then show this name instead of your 0x123...456 address. You can also set a primary name later.

  4. Set notifications, or skip. Turn on expiry notifications to get an alert 30, 7 and 1 day before the name expires.

  5. Wait for the registration to confirm. The name is yours. Next, edit your profile.

Common questions

Can I pay by card?

No. You pay in USDC from your connected wallet.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

No. A confirmed registration can't be undone or refunded, so check the spelling before you pay.

I already own the name on ENSv1. Do I register it again?

No. Registering is for names you don't own yet. A name you already own on ENSv1 is upgraded instead. See Upgrade your name to ENSv2.
